Our culture is our foundation

At Amazon, our culture is our foundation. It’s what makes us who we are, and it’s what sets us apart from other companies. Our culture is based on four key principles: customer obsession, ownership, invent and simplify, and strive for excellence. These principles guide everything we do, from the way we develop new products to the way we serve our customers.

Strengthening our culture

In recent years, we’ve seen some erosion of our culture. We’ve become more process-oriented and less customer-focused. We’ve also seen a decline in our ownership mindset, and we’re not inventing and simplifying as much as we used to. This is a serious problem, and it’s one that we need to address head-on.

We cannot afford to lose our culture. It’s what makes us who we are, and it’s what makes us successful. That’s why I’m announcing a number of initiatives to strengthen our culture and rebuild our teams.

Rebuilding our teams

One of the most important things we can do to strengthen our culture is to rebuild our teams. We need to create a more inclusive and collaborative environment where everyone feels valued and respected. We also need to develop our leaders and give them the tools and resources they need to succeed.

I’m confident that these initiatives will help us to strengthen our culture and rebuild our teams. By working together, we can create a company that is even more customer-focused, innovative, and successful than ever before.
