Celtics Move Closer to Another Title
Boston Defeats Dallas 106-88 at TD Garden Arena
The Boston Celtics moved another win closer to another NBA championship with a 106-88 victory over the Dallas Mavericks at TD Garden Arena on Friday night.
Despite struggling from three-point range, the Celtics fended off a late rally by the Mavericks to take a 2-0 lead in the series.
Jayson Tatum led the way for Boston with 39 points and 11 rebounds. Jaylen Brown added 19 points and Robert Williams III chipped in with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Luka Dončić paced the Mavericks with 30 points and 13 rebounds. Spencer Dinwiddie added 17 points and Jalen Brunson chipped in with 15 points.
The Celtics went 2-0 against the Mavericks during the regular season. Game 3 of the NBA Finals will be played on Sunday night in Dallas.
