Cavaliers Win Game 7, Advance to Eastern Conference Finals
The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Boston Celtics 120-95 in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals on May 7, 2024, to advance to the conference finals.
Ty Jerome led the way for the Cavaliers with 25 points, while Dean Wade added 20 points and Craig Porter Jr. chipped in with 18 points. Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 27 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Cavaliers' balanced attack.
The Cavaliers took control of the game in the second quarter, outscoring the Celtics 35-18. They never looked back, leading by as many as 25 points in the fourth quarter.
The Celtics were plagued by turnovers throughout the game, committing 17 turnovers to the Cavaliers' 8. The Cavaliers also outshot the Celtics from the field, hitting 51.2% of their shots compared to the Celtics' 38.5%.
The Cavaliers will now face the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals. Game 1 is scheduled for Tuesday, May 9, 2024.
